The Latest Update for ‎Paint.NET App

Today the devs released a new update for Paint.NET, version 4.2.15. This update contains several new features, bug fixes, and performance improvements.

New Features:

  • Added support for High DPI displays.
  • Added a new “Reset History” button to the History dialog.
  • Added a new “Color Sampler” tool.
  • Added a new “Paint Bucket” tool.
  • Added a new “Text” tool.
  • Added a new “Gradient” tool.
  • Added a new “Recolor” tool.
  • Added a new “Object Eraser” tool.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug with the “Save As” dialog not correctly remembering the last used file type.
  • Fixed a bug with the “Crop” tool not correctly remembering the last used aspect ratio.
  • Fixed a bug with the “Gradient” tool not correctly saving the gradient type.
  • Fixed a bug with the “Text” tool not correctly saving the text color.
  • Fixed a bug with the “Recolor” tool not correctly saving the color palette.
  • Fixed a bug with the “Paint Bucket” tool not correctly saving the fill mode.
  • Fixed a bug with the “Object Eraser” tool not correctly saving the object type.
